Aaron, what a great guy! Very sorry to hear the news. The last time I saw Aaron was probably about 25 years ago, and I hadn't seen him for probably 20 years before that. I was in Madison at a hotel, in the lounge with my back to the door (I know, never have your back to the door) when I heard this voice from someone coming in the entry. Without even turning around I knew immediately it was Aaron. We spent some time together catching up. At that time he was living in LaCrosse I believe, and later he moved to New Mexico (Rebstock country). I'd be more specific if I could spell Albuquerque. Rest in peace, Aaron.

What sad news that is about Aaron's passing. He was a good friend for over fifty years.  I first met Aaron on the 9th grade wrestling team at Lincon Junior High, and we kept in touch, off and on, over the years.  After high school, we both ended up going to college in Texas.  We often traded stories about the challenges of being Minnesotans living in the Lone Star State.  A few years ago our paths crossed again when he moved to Albuquerque.  I soon discovered that he was quite an outdoorsman.  He told me how much he enjoyed hiking up to the remote alpine lakes in the Pecos Wilderness.  I'm glad he got some time to do what he enjoyed so much.

Happy trails, Aaron, we will miss you.

It is always sad to hear of the loss of another class mate. Aaron was a very nice person and  funny. it seemed we were always in the same homerooms due to our last names. I will miss not seeing him at the  reunion. Rest in peace my friend.

Aaron was a neat guy.  In junior high, I thought he had the coolest flat-top haircut in the world.  I got mine cut in a flat-top for a while, but it never looked as good as his.  He died too young.  God rest his soul.

Aaron and I were friends throughout school. Two things I remember about Aaron. The first was him sucking on cinnamon sticks. If you have ever tried them they are awful so I don't know how he did it. The second was when we were injunior high at Lincoln in 8th grade. Aaron and I were walking down the hall behind a 7th grade girl that Aaron had a crush on. She had a really long ponytail which Aaron took ahold of to give it a little snap to get her attention. The ponytail came off in his hand and the poor girl didn't know it and keep walking. I about feel on the floor laughing as Aaron ran down the hall horrified but laughing with her hair piece in his hand to give it back. We had a lot of fun times. Rest in peace Aaron.

These are great memories of Aaron. Given how we all knew Aaron, picture him joining a group of us high school guys on a canoe trip to the BWCA. Who would not want to be on that trip. I guess I was the most "experienced", meaning I had been there before. Filling in the canoes was Eric Mickelson and Jeff Hultgren (I had to as Eric who the 4th was). Aaron had us laughing from the car ride to the zig zag paddling to the comments of the portaging. Maybe this was where he started being such a great outdoorsman. When I hear the loons laugh again, well, Aaron's voice will be just over my shoulder. Such a great guy
